About
Our Story
Happy Hearts Homestead started with one adorable alpaca named Sombra who originally lived in Blacksburg, VA. After visiting her farm, it was clear that we needed some! She was the first purchase, but stayed on her farm for a few years. We continued to visit and became close with her owners while learning how to care for them. Once we were ready to take the next step, we selected a few animals to start our herd in Pennsylvania! Then, we met our LaMancha goats at a yoga event and fell in love! We brought them home in the back of an SUV and have been smitten ever since! It was only a matter of time before two rescued cows joined the herd! Then, it only made sense to add three rescued sheep that needed a home! Finally, we brought home some chicks to round out the farm animals! Our focus is on the animals and keeping them happy! We hope you'll enjoy learning about our creatures!
